I checked the last time I wrote a journal on here... To say the least, it's been a long time! Time to check in.

I'm doing awesome right now, life sort of caught up to me I guess. My sons are growing and being boys, still crazy in love with Jonathan. Family life is happy.

However, I've got new videos, new art, and a new website coming super soon. I'm also moving to Colorado! around the end of August. I'll have my own room for art, video making, and all of the above. (eep!)

Let's go in order with updates:

1. New videos. My usual art videos will be back soon, including craft videos, since I tend to make other kinds of art too. Video tutorials will be expected.

2. Art. I've got a sketchbook filled with ideas and other pieces I'm currently working on. I plan to start posting those soon.Can't say much else, other than they're new pieces.

3. My new website. I've been working my butt off for the past couple of months on it. It's huge in size compared to before! Like, I'm extremely giddy about making it live. It still need some polishing, hugs, & spanking into submission before it makes its debut. There will be a much better gallery and video portfolio for viewing. Commenting across the site, a brand new integrated shop. The blog is now integrated too, you will be finding some personal blogs, but expect to find articles about artsy subjects, DIY, crafts, freebies, printables, ETC. Contests and giveaway that will be exclusive to my website (I haven't given away enough stuff this year!)

Overall, I'm making giant steps to improving Transient Art, and really making it something that can inspire, and maybe make a change eventually. I'll be very active online again soon, now that I've gotten a lot of priorities in order in life.

My birthday was really, really nice!


I'm really excited to have gotten some new art supplies too. Though, I plan on getting another pencil case too since Prisma Color just released 18 new colored pencil colors.  The brushes were hidden in different spots by my husband. He gave me clues to find them. I can't wait to use them since they're the Isacryl brushes that I love.

I've had a pretty good week, been super happy. I got some movie tickets for $5.50 so Jonathan and I went and saw Breaking Dawn during the midnight premiere. (It's honestly the best time actually since the kids are sleeping while being babysat lol) The movie wasn't bad, I liked it actually. I'm still reading Emma by Jane Austen too, haven't gotten as far as I'd like to since I've been busy. I did finish a drawing today though, video and images of it to come soon.

I think I'll end the night by finishing up some other small projects and a movie.

Yay! Halloween is coming up. I'm sooooo exciiiteddd!!! AHH!!! Being a parent to very young boys means I get to munch on their candies, since they really don't need a lot of it.   I'm evil.

Also, it's okay to use an older artwork, make sure it's recent though, and not 5 years old or something. There's no age limit to enter, and this contest is open worldwide (Art knows no boundaries!)

There's still some time to enter, and you're allowed to submit older artworks too (which I always love.)

In other news, I finally finished my Sketchbook Project 2011 video that I originally planned to finish months ago. A lot has really made me busy from January to well umm October... well it's true! I did have some trouble editing the end of it too, but I've finished it, so I'm happy. It's done!

I really hope you guys like it I e-mailed it to the Sketchbook Project peoples and I was nervous about the possible reply, or lack there of. Lo and behold I got an e-mail back and was told that they liked me video and want to feature it on their website!   I was hoping for a, "Hey that's cool, great job on the video!"   *pats head*  but I think it's cool that my video can be shared on a larger scale and maybe help show people what all a sketchbook can do in your life? It's that connection through art that I want to share, so that's why I was so excited to hear back from them.  

So if you have the time and energy I hope you might like to enter the contest I'm holding. The public will be voting for the winners and I'm giving away some really cool prizes too.
